Windows 10 introducing a new universal Photos app:

Microsoft in there Windows 10: The Next Chapter press event introduced us to an universal photo app both for our PC and smartphones

The Photo app will combine both on device photos as well as those located on a user's OneDrive account, and deletes any duplicate photos. The app will also include some automatic image enhancing, but users an can toggle on/off to see the original photo.

The enhancements will remove red eye, balances lighting and more.
The Photos app will sync up from a phone, to the OneDrive, and down to a PC. It can also creates automatic photo albums based on time, location, but users can create albums manually.

The new Photos app will not be available in the upcoming Windows 10 preview build that will be released soon for Windows Insiders but it is coming in the future final version.

More Universal Apps coming for Windows 10:

 Microsoft declared that number of universal apps,are coming including a People app, a Music app and more.

strategy that will allow Windows 10 app developers to code once, and have their apps work on any device. The new People app will aggregate your family and friends from across a number of social networks. Users can make Skype calls and videos from within the app.

The Music app will include support for OneDrive cloud playing sometime in a few months.It will allow users to add a song to a playlist, and sync it across all devices.

 The Maps app will include Cortana integration. The app will help users find alternate routes around traffic on PC, and sent that info to a phone. It will even help users remember where they parked their car. Office, Messaging, Outlook and other apps will all be universal apps for Windows 10.

WhatsApp now introduced to new Chrome web client:

 The new web client is an extension of the data from your phone, displayed in a Google Chromepage. It's simple to set up, and as long as your phone has a data connection you'll be able to send and receive messages via the WhatsApp service right from your PC.

To connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client, simply open http://web.whatsapp.com in your Google Chrome browser. You will see a QR code, scan the code inside of WhatsApp, and you're ready to go. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work,and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your Lumia Device.

Dropbox releases an official and universal Windows Phone app:

 Dropbox has launched an official app for Windows Phonetoday. Dropbox originally announced that they were working on the app back in November as part of a new partnership with Microsoft.

 

As an added bonus, Dropbox, which previously only had an official Windows 8.1app, is now a universal between phones and PCs.
Chances are you're already pretty familiar with Dropbox. However, just in case you've been living under a rock for the last several years, here's a rundown of the app's main features from its store listing:

• Access your photos, docs, and videos from any device.

• 2 GB of free space when you sign up.

• Share even your biggest files with a simple link — no more attachments!.

• Add files to your "Favorites" for fast, offline viewing.

Microsoft debuts Spartan, a new web browser for Windows 10:

Microsoft has officially unveiled Project Spartan, their new browser in Windows 10. The browser features a new rendering engine, a new look and feel for Windows 10, and even features Cortana built right in.

Spartan includes features like note-taking mode. Note-taking mode lets you draw and jot notes down right on your screen, directly marking up the web. Spartan also has a new clipping tool to save sections of web pages. You can also freeze content, saving it for later with markup. You can save content to OneNote, and share with the built-in Windows 10 sharing tools.

The new reading mode takes out extraneous elements like ads, leaving you with just the text of the article you want to read. You can also save articles for later with the new Reading list feature. Reading list supports both PDF and markup, letting you save a variety of things you want to read later in one place.

Spartan has Cortana built right in. The personal assistant can be used right from the address bar, and can display results as a sidebar on the right of the screen. Cortana can track things like flights, so if you start typing an airline, Cortana can find a relevant flight in your Notebook. Cortana can also book reservations, find menus, and get directions right from a website.

New Windows 10 Phone preview coming in February:

Microsoft announced a preview build of Windows 10 for phones. That will be available for Insiders in February.
