[Leaked] Upcoming W10 TP build 2 Screenshots Revealed With new features Which is coming tomorrow.

Microsoft's Gabe Aul dropped the news that the next build of the Windows 10  Preview for Windows  Phone is due this Friday at 10 am PT (11 pm IT).

The news was announced on the Windows Weekly podcast, later on twitter.

That is the good news. The bad news is both the Lumia Icon and Lumia 930 will not be a part of this update round due to a bug with device scaling. Of course, this will be addressed likely for the next-next build, but not for this one.

Microsoft will post a blog post later this week detailing all the changes with this build, which include some changes requested by users.

New screenshots of an unreleased Windows 10 for Phones build have leaked online, showing off a new task switcher and other notable improvements.

The images, shared by WindowsMania.pl, show not only the new task switcher, which appears to display active apps in groups off our, but other changes like new streamlined selection menus. By streamlined I mean they no longer take up the entire screen as is the case with Windows Phone 8.1.

An interesting screenshot is of the selection screen, which shows the OS assigning additional storage a drive letter (as one would expect on their desktop/laptop). This likely could be a pointer to support for external storage.

As well as visual changes in the leaked screenshots, the unreleased build also seems to be taking some of the editing functionality of Word and adding said features to apps like email. From alternating between different headers to implementing a table style, Microsoft is clearly looking to bring across formatting features from Windows to the phone.

bridge the gap between the desktop OS and Windows-based Phones, it makes perfect sense for Microsoft to go down such a route.

Everything appears to look clean and inviting. Though we're still in early days and things could change between today and the final build for public release.
